Golden sunsets, autumn wildlife, snowy lake views and a little holiday warmth. Douglas Lake has a different mood as the seasons turn.
THE QUIETER SEASON
Mountain views, occasional snowfall and more time to gather indoors. Expect lower lake levels and seasonal shoreline exposure, with the dock and summer water activities unavailable.

YOUR DAYS, YOUR WAY
Four kayaks and paddles are provided. Take a slow paddle for a different perspective on the lake and mountain views.
Two to three paddleboards are available for guests, along with lake floats and noodles. Make time for a calm day on the water.
Fishing gear is available for a summer morning at the dock. Pick up bait and tackle at Douglas Lake Market before you settle in.
Water activities depend on weather and lake levels. Dock access is typically available June through Labor Day. We recommend staying off the dock during bad weather or storms. Please bring in or secure lake toys and equipment before bad weather arrives.
Keep an eye out for lakeside birds and wildlife. Sometimes the best part of the day is simply watching what passes by.
Make a day of the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Dollywood, then return to a quieter place by the lake.
Enjoy the deck, cook together and keep things simple. Stock up at Food City in White Pine or Dandridge. Douglas Lake Market is handy for gas, essentials and fishing bait.

The main entrance has just one or two steps. Stairs connect the upstairs and downstairs levels, and there are also stairs to the lower patio and down to the lake.

Douglas Lake Market on Nina Road is handy for gas, essentials, fishing bait and tackle.
The closest grocery stores are Food City in White Pine or Dandridge. We also use the Morristown Walmart Supercenter #685 at 475 Crockett Trace Dr, Morristown, TN 37813. There is also an Aldi in Morristown which is a new favorite!
We have had good experiences with Instacart from several local grocery stores in past years. Check the app for delivery availability and time slots for your stay.
Pets are currently not allowed.
